Educational Assistance
WHO WE ARE
For a Christian, to live is to love, care, share the good news of Jesus Christ, and worship and serve the one true God. We strive to be a service to others while proclaiming the gospel.
A primary aspect of this ministry is to provide educational sponsorship to impoverished students and disaster relief in poor areas of western China.
Pray that as students see the love of Christ through this gift of educational sponsorship, that they would also hear the message of the gospel through the witness of this ministry and be saved.
WHO WE SERVE
Programs currently exist in three southwestern provinces: Sichuan, Chongqing, and Shaanxi.
Pray that each student would experience the love of Christ, and be guarded from prejudice as they enter a wealthier education culture.
FOCUS PROJECT
Educational assistance provides sponsorships and scholarships to elementary, middle and high school students living in impoverished rural western China. Since the beginning of the program, over 6,000 students have received assistance. Many of the high school graduates have been able to attend college and their lives have been changed.
You can sponsor an impoverished student for as little as $2 to $3 a day. This minor contribution can give opportunity, love and hope to a Chinese student.
Sponsorship for one elementary or middle school student is $540 per year or $1.5/day. Sponsorship for a high school student is $720 or $2/day which includes room and board as most rural high schools are boarding schools.
Scholarships of various amounts are also provided to students whose families are experiencing unexpected financial difficulties.
Pray that each student and their family would come to know Christ. Pray that the various forms of educational assistance would change the students and their families lives for the better.
