“The North Korean underground church is overcoming the hindrances imposed by the oppressive situation in North Korea with reliance on strong faith. Blessedly, we have also been able to send funds to cover living expenses and daily necessities to help North Korean underground churches overcome these difficult times. We have also sent ingredients to make and distribute bread to hungry orphans in North Korea.
Recently, we received this communication from North Korea through one of our workers:
‘Good morning. It's very difficult here. Prices of oil, flavor, soap, and flour have gone up so much, and daily necessities have also gone up in price, since we could not trade with China. I have had a hard time, but others are worse-off. Also, the medicine that used to come from China has stopped and we are having trouble because there is no medicine. Everything is so expensive, so we can't think of buying anything.’” - North Korean believer

WHO WE ARE
Cornerstone Ministries International (CMI) has been delivering Bibles into restricted nations since 1985, comforting the suffering Church, building disciples, and walking alongside them as they evangelize their nation.
Pray that God would open even more doors for CMI to comfort, disciple, and evangelize despite the seemingly insurmountable challenges in this country. God rules the nations!
WHO WE SERVE
CMI began by delivering Bibles to the Korean Chinese people of Northeast China. As the Korean Chinese people delivered Bibles into North Korea, Chinese Christians asked CMI to deliver Bibles to them as well; not only so, but as more and more Bibles have been delivered, Chinese Christians began to ask CMI to go to China to teach them how to also study the word of God. Thus, the ministry followed the Holy Spirit’s work and added “seminary delivery” to the agenda. We are currently teaching in four house church seminaries.
Pray that God would strengthen CMI workers by his Spirit to serve the people of North Korea faithfully in all of these arenas. Pray that God would give the North Korean church and its leaders a power, love and a sound mind in the midst of great suffering.
FOCUS PROJECT
The pandemic has made the already-fragile situation in North Korea even more desperate as the North Korean government has shut its borders, cutting off lifelines to sustainability for the North Korean people. Many are starving. More than ever, supplies of food and medicine are needed. Thankfully, through its strategic network, CMI is still able to deliver much-needed resources to the persecuted church in North Korea.
Pray that God would provide in miraculous ways for His people in North Korea and strengthen their faith through this time of intense suffering.
